Reflecting on the early and adolescent years of his life, Rev. L.D. Ervin had many questions and doubts about Jesus the Christ, God and other biblical teachings. After years of study, life experiences, extensive theological study and ministry, he realized that many youth and adults of today wrestle with similar doubts. Since biblical and other spiritual teachings can be difficult to understand, the writings and commentaries by Rev. Ervin offer simple language and details to explain the messages of God and Jesus the Christ. Meditations and Reflections, in providing a clear understanding of Scripture, will result in a greater desire to grow and serve in a relationship with God.

REV. L.D. ERVIN, the eighth of twelve children, was born on a sharecropper’s farm in South Carolina. His post-high school education included: Adelphi Business School; BS Degree; MS Degree; MA Degree; MDiv Degree; and Doctor of Ministry Degree. His military career includes the U.S. Air Force (4-years); the U.S. Air Force Reserve, and National Guard (11 years); and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (16-years). His civilian employment includes eight years as a postal employee, and twenty years as a federal investigator (Postal Inspector), U.S. Postal Inspection Service. As a Provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church, he is currently assigned as a Chaplain with the Ohio Civil Air Patrol in Cincinnati and Lima, Ohio.
