Tiara Yvonnette Scott is from "The Land of the O," "Charm City," "Birdland," and "The City that Reads." That's right, Baltimore! Tiara enjoyed an active childhood of sports and camps, summers filled with crab feasts, and winters with movie theaters and casual dining. Once Tiara graduated from high school, she pursued her dream of becoming a chef and was accepted into culinary school and earned an associate's degree. Tiara had a ten-year career in various kitchen settings, and says, "There was never a dull moment!" with eluding nostalgia. During her career she was able to attain her first home and car. She lived a mundane life with her three cats. When the recession hit its peak, she lost her home and cats. This was due to lack of hours at work because of lack of business. After being permanently diagnosed as schizophrenic in 2011, Tiara went through two years of cognitive behavior therapy, seven years of psychiatric rehabilitation therapy, and one-on-one therapy since 2011. During that time Tiara learned various techniques in proper communication; processing negative thoughts; mistakes in thinking; and how to live a healthy, prosperous life with schizophrenia. Before pursuing writing, Tiara attempted to be successful by working from home for two years. Since Tiara couldn't meet the requirements of the business daily, she was dismissed. Because of the free time Tiara had, she decided to take an online course for writing fiction. Tiara was feeling the pressure to excel in the challenging course. With intense study sessions and detailed notes, Tiara earned a certificate from the course. The exciting times were beginning again for Tiara when she drafted her first manuscript of fifty thousand words in twenty-nine days. This first manuscript is the story Goldilocks, the first of The Forest Series. Tiara spends her time feeding her curiosity while enjoying cult and science fiction movies.
