Item Summary

These stories are works of fiction though they are loosely based on the events of my life so far. I will let the reader decide which are true and which are not. I sincerely hope that my life will last long enough for a second volume. While many of the characters are fictional, they are also based on the people who have touched my life many times over the years. And there are certain of them that are very real.

I remember, vaguely, my time in college. We had to “study” books, we could not just read them. Looking back, I have to think that eighteen-to twenty-one-year-old children are too young to appreciate

what they are studying. Rereading some of what I had to read in college, I can now, at my advanced age, come away with an understanding of what I am reading.

This collection holds no hidden meaning or symbolism. If you see any of that, then you made it up. Mine is an open book, if you will. There are no vague literary references either. I do not have to be pedantic.

I do brag a little about my life though. This may seem pretentious also, but this is my book!

I just want anyone who reads this book to enjoy.
