What happened after she made it across, and how she overcame discrimination, depression, temptation and the separation of her family once in the American territory. A real-life story written to inspire and help others overcome their obstacles by seeing life from a different perspective.

Anilu is one of the 800,000 DACA recipients in the United States. She emigrated to Texas at the age of 11 years old and began a new life with her family leaving everything behind. Her goal is to provide a better understanding about the illegal immigration to decrease the hate and discrimination amongst each other, but at the same time inspire others to share their own stories.
